Underground Comedy is a comedy club mixing established stars and newer acts in a friendly environment. Ticket prices are low or PWYW and it is all about support the art of the comedians as they work up material and shows. We also run regular workshops often before gigs where comedians can come together and share information and seek help in a supportive environment.

Previously running for many years as Nice N Spiky Comedy, we run comedy nights here every Monday (from April 2025) mixing established acts and new comedians, with regular host multi-award winning Nathan Cassidy. Previous acts downstairs at The Regent include Stewart Lee, Omid Djalili, Felicity Ward and Stephen Merchant. You never know who might pop by!

Acts can apply for a 5-minute open spot using Confirmed via the button below. We will try to get everyone on but if you don't hear back it will because we have too many applications so please leave it a month or so and reapply for other dates, we will do our best!
